Soft skills (as opposed to hard skills, aka technical skills) include (but are not limited to) empathy, conflict resolution, communication, adaptability, attitude, and self-confidence. These are critical skills for our children as we prepare them for “reintegration” and life. Opportunities for instruction, modeling, and guided practice are invaluable.

When we teach soft skills outside, we remove the distractions of the classroom and replace them with nature and fresh air - as well as exercise, socialization, and play.
